Second Resident Evil 5 DLC “Desperate Escape” Revealed

Today Capcom announced details on the second downloadable episode for Resident Evil 5. “Desperate Escape” will feature Jill’s and Josh’s escape from the Tricell lab at the end of the game. Scheduled for release March 3rd on the 360 and March 4th for PS3, the episode focuses on Jill and Josh fighting their way out of the facility together and attempting to rendezvous with Chris and Sheva as they battle Wesker.

The second episode will also feature Costume Pack 2, which adds business attire for Sheva, a “road warrior” look for Chris, and makes Josh a playable character in The Mercenaries Reunion mode.

As previously announced on Capcom’s Unity Blog, the first downloadable episode is titled “Lost in Nightmares” and features Jill and Chris hunting Wesker at Ozwell Spencer’s mansion, as previously shown during cutscenes only. The first episode is scheduled for released on 2/17 for Xbox and 2/18 for PS3, and will include Costume Pack 1 which gives both Sheva and Chris “medieval warrior” looks.

Both DLC packs will include the new extra mode called “The Mercenaries Reunion,” which boasts 8 new playable characters and weapon loadouts yet to be revealed.

For those without Internet, the Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition with all downloadable content will arrive on store shelves March 9th.
