Well, for me at least.
After several years of scouring ebay (at least 5-6), I have FINALLY found the PS1 version of DarkSeed II. I have the DarkSeed I for the Sega Saturn (which is common), and for the PS1 (pretty uncommon, but one crops up every 2-3 months or so). DarkSeed II for the Sega Saturn is very uncommon, I only see it about every 4 months. But DarkSeed II for the PS1 has to be the most difficult time I have ever had acquiring a game. This is one of the last remaining gaps in my Saturn/PS1/PS2 horror collection.

WOW props to you Marco, I didn't even know this game ever came out on the PS1!
Is it in good condition? Hope you didn't have to pay too much for it!!!

Did not pay a ton, actually -- $30-40 or so. The nice thing about collecting this obscure stuff is that the reason it's rare is because of its obscurity, not because everybody else is grabbing it up whenever it crops up on ebay. Most of these games don't go for very much on the rare instances that they do show up for auction.
There are a few exceptions. I remember, for example, getting into a bidding war over the European game Zombi (I can't remember if it was the Amiga or Atari ST version). I ducked out at $150. The funny thing is, the same game showed up again on ebay about 4 months later, and I only ended up paying about $70. It's really hit or miss whether or not somebody else comes along who wants one of these titles. If not, I'm usually the only person who is bidding on it. If there's someone else, that's when I can end up paying an arm and a leg.
Marco.

I know the feeling.
I mean, I spent ¥27000 on a rare Biohazard rebirth demo disc in August 2007. It is actually rare, so it's not like I was being totally dumb. Back then, ¥27000 was about $240. Now, it's around $300. I hunted for it for quite a long time.

See now, CVXFreak, you're even crazier than I am. In actuality, I have seriously toned down my buying of videogames, even horror ones. Mostly I just do it out of habit now, especially since I have zero time to play anything these days. That being said.......... CVXFreak, do you still happen to be in Japan, per chance? Just asking to be sociable, mind you.... Marco.

I am still in Japan. At your service I've also toned down my game buying as well. I find playing old games to be good time wasters and money savers. I made a thread about it on this forum too.
